Selected by Ian Hylands - Fall is here, the bike parks are all closed, Interbike and Rampage are done, and the season is pretty much drawing to a close for many of us. I think this shot just sums all that up for me...
it's a very mellow setting which relates to the autumn theme and a rider shredding down the trail, just flowing.. that's my take on this shot, nicely done!
i love this shot. after all the sick Rampage action, that makes you thing either you are a p..ssy or this guys have serious mental troubles, its nice to see a pic, that any average Pinkbike user can relate to. I mean, I couldnt even dream of hitting something like Semenuk's transfer gap, but this pic? - I feel like I am already airborn.
Closing weekends are so bittersweet...Theres is such a fun sense of urgency to get all the rides in you can before the year ends. It snowed here this weekend, and the season end has me melancholy.
Then again, I just put some spikes into some old minions, picked up a new riding shell, some lights, and warm socks. Bring on 2013!
I went to Whistler this year for the first time... I wish I could live there, and envy everyone that can live the mountain lifestyle. With no job I spent as much as I could afford too on all the tourism there, even sold bike parts to spend as much as I could there so that a good thing can only grow into to a better thing. Best riding of my life even with the worst injury coming out of the trip, can't wait to go back.
Riding season is a term that doesn't really exist in the Southern Hemisphere. I have been riding most weekends from the start of this year and with the promise of a lift accessed bike park in my city life is good.
That pics got everything... Riding with serious steez, the power to make you feel ike you;re there and "feeling it", a trail that makes you want to drive wherever it is and ride it (I know where it is...) and amazing background scenery that puts the "mountain" in mountain biking... Absolutely beautiful.
I rarely bother on commenting with so many similar shots day after day, but this one is just stunning in every aspect. Gonna be my POD for a while. And thumbs up for a photographer.
I'm sorry, but I thought there were much better pics from rampage, I figured they'd be pod for a straight month. This is a good pic, but not great in my book. I wish the rider were a little higher in the sky.
bro, its "merica" only non mericans say "america". always keep in mind we are the national home of rednecks. im gonna go do some more tractor pulls now.
