Little bit of advice from a previous owner of one of these. Run the rear shock a little harder than you would think.
  • + 1
Cheers man, in what way? Using the existing shock and firing some more air into it?
  • + 1
I mean a harder spring. Could just be my personal choice but I had a 350lb for my weight and a 400lb made the bike so much livelier.

You will ride it a few times then you will love it and then you will buy the new model lol
  • + 1
Haha I can assure u that won't be the case haha
  • + 1
thats a very nicely machined original E-13 lg1! wonder how strong it is looks nice though
  • + 1
also, put a rc4 on it Wink
  • + 1
The LG1 looks very robust anyway! How would i tell what fitment it is pal?

Mmm i shall see, how are the dhx 5s?
  • + 1
if you've got a chain device still off your old bike, mock it up and see if the holes are in the same place Smile

and go on... dhx's are ok, nothing special though.. which is why they brought out the rc4 Wink

Will it be quite obvious regarding fitment pal?
  • + 1
I think you have to run the one that's on it as it was custom made for the lapierre. I may be wrong however.
  • + 1
Lapierre have told me the same thing, I'm not see whether they just don't want me to fit an aftermarket device or the fitments are custom. I'm going to have a look at it a bit more tomorrow

Im sur ei remember when these frame were announced that they were wokiong in collab. with e13 im about 80% sure thes are the only ones which fit. However you could replace the top slide andf lower roller for white ones if you wanted, but i think thats about as good as you could do. Unless you got the back plate custom anodised, for the bling touch?
  • + 1
I think your right pal, will have a look online actually. I don't know anyone that could anodise itFrown no where really near me that does it. May just wrap it in vinyl haha
  • + 1
 leave it, looks sick Razz
  • + 1
Decided i am going to leave it mate, managaed to source brand new white parts so will swap these over...will freshen it up a bit! Trying to source wheels...unsure of what to go for arghhhh Frown
  • + 1
why not just get a new hub for your current wheelset as there really good?
  • + 1
struggle to find a team green one mate, want it all to be matching! Was considering selling the hubs then buying marybe gold or black hope pro 2 evos in the correct spacing
  • + 1
the fronts the same obviously, but the backs going from what to what?
and just keep the front one green, get a black back one and then keep a eye out for a green one to come up Smile
  • + 1
back is going from 135 x 10 to 150 x 12 mmm i shall see...may just buy new wheels...always wanted deemax. Just dont know if they are overated. I love the hope hubs but i want to lace them to a brilliant rim
  • + 1
ok.. well from what ive seen... people tend to run demax rims on hope hubs..
and the new ones are as bulitproof as the old ones.

just keep your wheels and look for another hub! too much money! Razz
  • + 1
deemax rims and hope hubs is a nightmare scenario due to the hassle it will be to lace them. evenmy local bike shop wouldnt carry out the work as it will be too much of a faff. mm will see haha
  • + 1
takes too long, think its to do with the spokes...i dont know the ins and outs but i know its a faff and i dont really need that
  • + 1
hmm... do they not use normal spokes in the deemax's? i know the standard wheels are on straight pull spokes, but dont know anything else about them
  • + 1
i honestly dont know buddy! ive looked online and from other forums, i have gained its a bit of a nightmare. I also phoned my local bike shop and they said the same thing.
  • + 1
keep your wheels then and just get a new hub, or go full deemax...
  • + 1
