Whats with all the Brits hating trail dogs? I don't have one, but don't see any problem with them. Btw if you're getting upset that the last two days have had dogs in them. Get a life, dogs in PODs are quite rare.

My dog actually loses her mind when she sees me getting my bike ready and is visibly disappointed the days she doesn't get to come along. Oh and I love Canada!

Wooh, wait up on the 'Brits hating trail dogs', feardabeast. It's only two Brits that have expressed a hating. Many trail and DH riders over here have a dog that follows/leads. I'm trying to get mine to follow me (and failing, but bare with me). I think that it's good getting a 'Dog POD'.

isn't chris akrigg brit as well? did they express their hate on the other thread/article? its not a picture but from the looks of it, bringing dogs along trail rides isn't isolated to north america.

Two guys don't like Trail dogs on POD.. and they happen to be British.. but you can't lump us all in with them... Britain's bigger than two people you know..
and yesterday's trail dog POD WAS BRITISH.
In relation to the picture though.. that looks like the happiest dog on the planet! I want one

I don't know how anyone couldn't love seeing the stoke in a dog's face. Its clear the reason is because he's out on a trail. Just like us!

Im British through and through, and the two times I have been to Canada I have preferred it. And dont hate on trail dogs, my dog needing a walk is a great excuse to go out on my bike.

I am not a big dog fan but have a germansheperd in the house that my kids love. I usually take her on rides every day and she specially loves the DH sunday, she is very fast and obedient, takes care of all the group and has the most fun probably, the other rider like the same so whoever has bad comments about riding with a dog is just plain stupid, no matter what nationality.

Ok. the fact that most people on here are American or Canadian mean that British comments will automatically be neg propped just because 2 brittish people dislike the photo.

go kick rocks joe701, mountain biking is about getting out and enjoying the mountains and nature on your bike. A mans best friend can enjoy it along side us. promise that dog is having just as much, if not more fun than the rider...is there something wrong with that?

I'm a Frenchman, and while you canadians and brits (both anglos) are out there debating about freaking dogs, I'm out there riding my bike, and stealing your girlfriends the rest of the time.

Walking the dog = 2 hours, riding your bike = 2 hours, walking your dog while riding = priceless. And for those who don't get it: it's better to ride with somebody than alone, and if no one is available..... oh well, i love my dog. Great picture.

My dog loves to go riding with us... As soon as we get t he bikes out of the garage she goes nuts... Its just as much fun and adrenaline for them to fly down a mountain as it is for us... Its also great exercise for them which increases longer life etc..etc... and if you go alone there amazing company..... and P.S its not just Canada... People in the US take there dogs riding too lol

oh dear. some people have issues , i don't see the point in criticizing a place that you have clearly never been to before "i f*cking hate Canada" wow , this guy is either a massive nob or the girlfriend is secretly lesbian and not giving out, either way calm the f*ck down , Its a dog. My dog loves being out on the trail, unfortunately he was hit by a car as a pup so i have to limit his trail time as he would happily run himself until all the nuts, bolts and lumps of titanium come flying out of his leg. Still he's got about as much metalwork in his leg as most of the top riders now

It's awesome to have your dog go riding with you. I got a dog specifically do that and he has been great. Dh or tram rides he just wants to go running. To bad everything in the front range of Colorado is anti dog being off a leash. And if any people from Fort Collins read this and know of somewhere other than hewlitt gulch to go with a dog let me know!!
