are they better then a coil...as i really like the idea of one...but just not sure if its worth it?

Its all personal preference really, with the vivid you feel all the smaller bumps which gives you a better feel for the trail whilst it still absorbs all the small and big hits easily, keeps the rear wheel pretty tracked, but im going back to a coil.. not really that fussed about the weight so im swapping it for a ccdb

Definately better than coil...ive had the pleasure of riding with both variations and for me, the air came out on top. Lightweight, soaks up virtually everything, smooth through the travel...list goes on. In my eyes, it lacked small bump compliance but it wasnt too severe in that respect. I actually miss mines (sold it when i split my status) but i have also bought a double barrel so will see how it compares

Small world eh! Looks sweet. I would run a vivid air on mines but due to the suspension design on my lapierre frame, it would be hard to change settings or insert air as the mount points make access restrictive
