yes its obviously photoshopped and I did not put much effort in hiding that. this way you can see the photos I made seperately if you look at it closely and if you look at the image from a distance it makes a whole other total image. I could blend the pictures seamlesly but then the distance you look at it wouldn't matter.

If the trees would have actually fit together, not just ended abruptly for no reason and the tones/colors were consistent throughout the photo I would have easily voted for it. Why do all the effort if you ain't gonna take the time to do it right and make it a photo worth winning.

It was a concious choice NOT to blend it seamless. This way doesn't look like a slick advertisement what in my opinion would kill the dynamic aspect of the image. Just as I said, if it would hang on a wall and you look at it from a distance, the seams wouldnt be visible. If you would start walking towards it, the image as a whole would start to change and the smaller fractions would become visible to which you can look independently. If all the images would be seamless it would be boring as hell imho. I'm not a fan of clean slick work anyway, it creates a distance between maker and viewer. Now you can see exactly how the pictures are rotated and placed so in fact through this picture were having a kind of conversation in which I tell you how I made this. I'm a student illustration design on an art school and I make most of my work like this. It makes that I can look at my work and everytime discover something new.

Now that we know it's photo shopped, let's discuss the artistic.quality of the picture...

I really think the picture was super sweet except for my neck being sore looking at it sideways.
