Why would it need a doctor when everything is perfect.
  • 23 1
Maybe its intentional but I think it would look a lot better with the horizon horizontal
  • 5 0
Yeah, i agree. the light is unreal tho!
  • 6 3
It almost looks like you can see the rotation of the earth from the angled horizon

This can be one of those inspirational posters, but without the caption cause this is just lovely!

honestly, a bit too epic to really enjoy. its awesome, don't get me wrong, but missing a bit of the gritty-ness that truly makes a mountain biking photo a pod.. in my opinion anyway..
  • 1 2
 yeah dan

@bigburd i kinda like how it it tilted. makes it a little more less conventional. instead of the rider being the moving object, he is the level objest and the earth/horizon is whats moving.

If this was sold as a poster I would buy one immediately, this may be the best POD I've seen yet. Easily in my top 3.

WPeredina - - Thanks! Not sure why you got the negative props...
  • 4 0
Yeah, honestly I don't know why either. Because it is an awesome photo

Great picture, it looks like you used a flash but the shutter speed is really high how did you do it?
  • 1 0
tmastromonaco - I use radio triggers that support high speed sync. Makes it a lot easier than shooting at 1/250. check out Pixel King

I've seen ALOT of flicks of this gap since we brought it back to life a couple years ago. My friend and I build up the landing and smoothed out the run in along with some other things, ever since then its been poster-ized more then I can remember We;'ve never even touched it up! Amazing when you consider the traffic. Glad its got a POD now!, and people are enjoying it!!. Great shot Dan!

That's great - Thanks for building this up so everyone could enjoy it!! Your not joking when you say its got ALOT of traffic and coverage. Thanks to everyone who puts in work on our local trails!

This easily could have been POY.

this photo would be way better if the photog bothered to keep the horizon horizontal. How could you take such an amazing pic and not pay attention to that? haha
  • 2 1
save it, rotate it 7 degrees clockwise, crop it... done. Put the horizon at the 1st third, rock at the left third also. ... and you are right, it works better like that.
  • 1 0
 aaaaaaaah-zabenyaaaaah.....

I like how the level of the wheels is parallel to the horizon/light lines
