First time for me was mbuk bike95 in London he was riding with the bro Martin hawes.
Met him loads of times in my life,
Definaley been a inspiration since riding as a kid, now im 25
And he's still producing the goods.
dirrrtjump, I know that. There still is a difference between bringing yourself in danger and bringing yourself AND others in danger.
navyman, I hope it is set up. And yes, it's a great pic. That's not the issue...
mm .. this is becoming a habit, nay an addiction Mr Ashton - come on people, we need to stage and intervention and send him to BRA (Bridge Riders Anonymous)
There's not a ton of slope on those arches, and the camera is going to be at least 4-5 feet above the arch in the photographer's hand. To me it looks exactly like someone is standing opposite the rider holding the camera near head height. I see how the perspective kind of looks like it's levitating over nothing though.
Yeah I scaled the other side and if I remember correctly was laying down with the camera held at arms length and trusting in what seemed the correct angle so as to take in the form of both sides of the bridge. I was supplying the shot to be used on a t-shirt for Animal and thought it would be good to upload it...glad I did )
it is also frankly not really safe for the rider himself. as well as the nautical life below the bridge as in case of a fall he could surely impact the local biosphere. as an addition we would have to mention the structural damage the rider might be causing at this very moment- additional stressing of the bridge and the arch structures not accounted for during the design process. also the obvious additional hazards applied to the driver of the car again- potential fall could be extremely dangerous for life and general well being of the driver in case of a rider falling onto the car. and then obviously the surface of the road damaged in the case of the same fall- such a hazard for the future generations.
this simply should be banned from pinkbike. from the internet at all. yes- indeed.
