How loud is that liquid cooling? I've got a similar setup on mine, but its SUPER cheap (computer was prebuilt...) and sounds like a hair dryer. Looking at options for replacing it because it literally is loud enough to keep me awake at night if I don't shut it off.

water cooling the cpu is cheap and quiet, the 8 fans for everything else are loud as fuck though!

You should try BlackNoise fans. I have few of their NB-BlackSilent Pro 120mm fans installed in my rig along with Noctua NH-U12P SE2 CPU cooler and I can't even hear when my computer is on. They also push a lot of air, have 6 years warranty and all the German quality and technology packed in them.

Dont know much about desktops. What are the tubes and the funky cables at the bottom?
  • 1 0
tubes are watercooling for the cpu, cables at the bottom are the powersupply. They're pretty easy to understand really Smile

What's the full spec buddy? is that a republic of gamers motherboard?
  • 1 0
it is, have just changed it to an nvidia 790 ultra though, to get the two gtx295 to sli properly (it runs hot though and i've had a pain of a time getting it to boot and run stable). The republic of gamers mobo was a last gen maximus extreme, that ran ddr3 ram, has an lcd poster and soundcard, and built in watercooling blocks, its also for sale now....

Specs are:

Coolermaster 690 case
intel exreme quad core 3.0 ghz
8gb kingston hype ram
gtx 295 graphics cards in sli (quad sli, its epic)
nvidia 790 ultra sli motherboard
kingwin 1000w psu
watercooling for the cpu
bitfenix spectre fans
bitfenix fan controller

bout it really Smile
