Hey guys, this is not a frame failure. This is a paint crack that has developed between the aluminum insert and the carbon. Both materials flex at a different rate and it can cause a predictable fracture in the paint around the insert. This is unfortunate, but luckily just a cosmetic issue that has been resolved at the factory. It is safe to ride and any customers with this issue will receive a replacement rear triangle.

mine has got the cracks like this on both sides of the rear end and now evil bikes are not replying to my emails!!!! I've been told its ok to ride but no offer of the new rear end as they say above !!!! on a bike thats less than a year old being told its ok to ride is not good enough especially as its supposed to have a warranty on it for at least 2 years, plus the point that there seems to be no spare parts available for the undead in the UK, very unhappy with the customer service to say the least

Mine has exactly the same crack in the paint. I have the new swing arm to go on, but to be honest I'm not bothered by it, so my spare swing arm is currently sitting in my front room like a cool piece of carbon art!
