I prefer biking and snowboarding in winter rather than this, but it is so well shot. Goes to my favebook.

How is that different from snowboarding ? If you doing stuff like this guy from the picture it doesn't really matter if you use skii or snowboard. Sick picture.

Snowboard is easier to learn and safer when crashed. That is my opinion created during 10 years of my snow career. I tried to master ski usage and it was difficult for me to learn it during 2 years of practice with a teacher. Then I rented some snowboard and learned it by myself in less than two days. If you doing stuff like this guy, it means that you've learned how to ski long before snowboard was invented and naturally quick snowboard learning just didn't gave you the same base of skills. So when snow freeride evolved to wide and carved board, they did similar for skiers. Here is the example of such a freerider, but I bet He lives in mountains and knows how to ski since He was a little boy. Then snowboard is just an alternative for Him not a relief like for me. Personally I think snowboard is more human, if I can say that, and more intuitive. Although sking is more universal.

Location is Girdwood, AK @ Mt Alyeska where you can also get lift access to this here gnarly steep & beautiful terrain in summer. We have the longest lift accessed double black diamond runs in North America- including Canada.
