It seems like deja vu seeing Lupato taking the holeshot, sprinting hell for leather with his head down to pull away from the rest of the field. He was never caught. Sottocornola got the holeshot on Manuel, but couldn't stay ahead in the singletrack. Unluckily for Manuel he couldn't manage to pull a big enough gap to make up the distance to first and had to settle for the second spot on the podium today. However, this was enough for Manuel to keep the series lead, but it's close and when the series rolls into Finale Ligure there will be everything to play for to see which one of them takes the title.
