My XC/AM/FR rig, blasts dh like a dedicated dh bike yet can handle the climbs even with a single front ring with ease. not sure on weight yet but im thinking about 28 lbs, deemax's are overkill but the extra weight doesnt bother me for the added stiffness. Also shorter stem on the way, ill keep this for xc days and have a 50mm for FR total build cost only $2100

designed with a well thought out virtual pivot and a lightweight floating rear brake. removable rear dropouts and BB ensures no fitting problems and easily replaceable damaged parts as well as a replaceable, interchangeable ,adjustable headset.

Tiger Shark graphics on my frame design in pencil and sharpie, all aspects of the frame are designed with a delicate balance of form and function. Easily removable BB, and rear dropouts. Pivot placement designed to keep brake jack and pedal bob to a minimum, and extra link attached between the shock and upper pivot creates a more linear shock path. drawing is not to scale, fairly accurate though, however pivot lengths and angles would need testing to get exact. could also make a very unique looking aluminum frame with 100% hydro-formed tubing and welds just along the same areas that are creases in the carbon fiber (the ones curving down the top/down tubes)

my design, not to scale. Removable BB and rear dropouts. can take 8.50 or 9.50 length shocks. all aspects of the frame designed with form following function in mind, every bend and placement/angle of pivots are designed to create a unqiue suspension geometry and increase strength and stiffness. it also uses a unique attachment between the shock and pivot that gives the shock a more linear feel.

form meets function, not an exactly to scale drawing but as close as i feel like getting for now. all my design, lots of thought has gone into the path of the rear wheel and compression of the shock, as well as the bends and creases in the carbon front and rear triangles. rear shock incorporates an extra swinging pivot to allow a more compact design as well as makeing the suspension travel more fluid.

this is mainly just putting the idea to paper so i dont forget parts of it. its not to scale, and the pivots are just a general layout of the angles and lengths i want. Most of my thought has gone into the bends and creases in the carbon fiber of the main triangle in the interest of spreading compression, pulling, twisting forces into stronger more flexible areas of the frame, aswell as the direction of force from the pivots and shock mounts. i haven't finished the rear triangle yet this is a general shape of it.

my carbon frame design, main triangle designed to spread compression and pulling forces throughout the frame. both pivot links are single piece to increase rigidity. unique shock pivot piece allows many shock options and travel lengths as well as a fluid shock path. most forces are sent into the BB area which is the strongest part of the frame. replaceable BB and rear dropouts to accommodate different BB and dropout sizes as well as being easy and cheap to replace should you strip/damage the area. rear suspension path designed to absorb bumps while maintaining momentum, and minimizing brake jack aswell as chain growth.
