Self-portrait on one of my favorite spots here at home. Took a few tries to get it dialed and thankfully the rays kept shining through the fog for me.

You know you are railing hero dirt and maxing it out when you get a perfect double-tire spray on the way out of a corner. A shot similar to this one ran in the Bike Magazine Photo Annual but this one is my favourite from that day. I can clearly remember the sound of Stu's tires railing the dirt and seeing the perfect outline of both tires pop at the same time as my flash.

    Self-portrait

While recovering from a shoulder injury in the fall, we experienced a cloud inversion for almost two weeks. Sitting at home one afternoon, I had a feeling I was missing out (FOMO or FOMAS) and rallied to the top of one of our trails. As I reached the top, I saw the most amazing light display I had ever seen. Without anyone to shoot and the light quickly fading, I only had a few minutes to set up the tripod and remote trigger (which I ended up triggering in my mouth). Pretty happy with the results and the next day I returned with a rider and experienced the same light, this time for almost an hour. A few of the resulting images ended up gracing the pages of Bike Magazine, including the closing spread of the Photo Annual.

Perspective is something I always strive to achieve in my photography. This zone is one of my favourites for shooting but I sometimes struggle to make it look the way I want. Luckily, I had some help from a friend to teach me about tree climbing and I captured this frame on the first day. Winter is coming but I'm already looking forward to spring.

    Graham Agassiz

Not too many people have style like this guy. This shot is from Aggy's upcoming Monster edit and my first day ever shooting with him. I remember while everyone else was shooting into another amazing Kamloops sunset, I decided to switch it up and shoot this silhouette against the colorful backdrop. As he flew through the screen, I knew I had nailed a serious banger shot. One of my all-time favs.

One of my favorites from last year. Jersey choice was key to making this work.

Graham stretching it out last weekend during a shoot for a Monster Energy edit out later this year. Notice the remote controlled helicopter on the left side of the frame, getting some unique angles for the shoot.

You can't really plan for images like this. A random storm. A chance encounter with friends. And one electric moment....Nature's flash photography.
