What if prototype DH bikes, specially designed to be ridden without saddles were winning races?

I would adapt my riding style to remain competitive
Nope. Downhill bikes will always have saddles
I can see that happening only for racing, but not freeride

It's not about winning races for me, it's about having fun and part of that is sitting on my bike chatting with friends while we consider a line or trail choice, or wait for someone, or etc etc.

same reason why DJ bikes have seats. cause they are softer on your arse than a frame for when you land a little heavy or slip a pedal or something
