Does your bike have a chain guide on it?

If your bike has a 1x drivetrain, does it use a chain guide?

All my bikes have super cool chain guides. They are fully adjustable on the fly with a super cool handle bar control. I have awesome 500%+ gear range and a chain line so good it doesn't need any band aids like a chain retention chain ring or clutched rear derailleur to keep the chain on.

Not surprisingly I actually set up and maintain my bikes properly so my chain never falls off AND I can ride the same bike to work on the road all week and then ride it all weekend in Whistler Bike Park.

Haven't needed one since switching to a narrow wide chainring and setting my chain to the correct length.

i have needed one since switching to narrow wide since my front derailleur acted as a chain guide(tb to movable chain guides lol)

I have the 2018 specialized enduro comp and it comes with a chain guide but only the top portion after hard riding for a few months im really happy with it !!! i think with current bikes a top is all you need.

I wonder if these numbers are reflecting that less people are riding DH bikes, rather than that less people are putting chain guides on their DH rigs?

I don't think I would bother having one on a DH bike unless I was racing or dropping chains every run.

I don't have one on my HT and sometimes don't even bother having the clutch turned on (for lighhter shifting) and haven't had too many dropped chains.

@fartymarty: Yeah, and if you're dropping chains very often you should replace the worn out parts and or set your bike up properly... the two reasons chains fall off.
