What is your preferred way to the top of the trail?

 True story. Got way lost in Kamloops. Camped out of town, went on a predinner spin. Horrendous mosquitos would swarm at every stop. Made looking at a map tough, and, it was a long time ago and the map sucked anyway. So kept riding....and riding, taking turns that felt right, noting the sun disappearing. Ended up in Kamloops, 15 or so uphill miles from camp. Found a taxi to haul two riders and bikes with no money on them back to camp.

 Hmmm? maybe give it a try.

 Mostly for me but not opposed to an occasional shuttle ride, chair lift day would be cool, but most rides are pedal power and some with big hike a bike sections too.
