The jumps on crabapple hits are massive Probably the fastest tables on the mountain but I could be wrong. For all those who havent gone to Whistler yet, you should really do whatever you have to do to get there. It is so far beyond any other bike park in terms of size, trail diversity, and the sheer amount of riding you can get done in a day. It is the place to go to progress your riding, after a week on the trails you will know what I mean.
And bring a lot of money because food and booze adds up when your staying in the village. If you think you have enough, bring a few hundred more might as well live it up while your there anyways!
Whistler is all about the combos, there is no best trail in whistler; its the best trail combo. For me its orginal sin to frieght train/no joke, sidetrack to duffman, then lower aline to either hornet or the gx course. Another deadly combo is frieght train to orginal sin to in deep, rip down that blue trail to get ready for too tight or d1. Then finish the fitz with shleyer to lower whistler downhill.
It's definitely not boring but I dont understand how you could lap it all day and nothing else. I also find that the guys who do lap after lap of A-line and have a decent amount of style are often completely incompetent on any other type of trail. There is so much more you can learn on a tech trail. They are so much more challenging.
Agree mostly here, Dirt Merchant beats out A-line to be honest. I prefer Upper over Lower Aline but DM still wins.
I don't get guys who just lap a-line though. I totally agree that some of the people who only ride that are usually crap riders or DJers just shredding down. Good for them though, biking is biking, you just won't catch me lapping a-line on repeat very often.
Yea but honestly I can't stand people who ride Aline every single lap there are about 60 other amazing trails. Don't get me wrong Aline is RAD but gets boring if you have been there enough
Joyride -> schleyer -> crack addict -> canadian open -- one of my all time favorite runs. Actually starting to like heading onto lower whistler downhill instead of crack addict a bit more recently.
Yup that was my last run of the day, and first time on that trail, and holy fook was it fun.
Also hitting Fade Black just from a buddies description, then sending it blind was fun.
Dang i miss Whistler
Officially they don't exist , South of Heaven. In bounds I'd go for Angry Pirate to Crack addict, or Duffman, Side Track or No Joke/New Joke. Only got to ride Afternoon Delight once when it just opened.
Next poll question: What is your favorite POV video from Whistler? (for those of us whose only chance to ride in Whistler so far is to ride vicariously through others)
