Why isn't there a "I haven't gotten to go to whistler but I dream of it" option?!?!?
  • + 3
 next year maybe
  • + 3
Yep I've never been to Whistler either!! Just felt like I had to pipe in haha
  • + 5
Only 91 people hit crabapple hits.
  • + 3
The jumps on crabapple hits are massiveSmile Probably the fastest tables on the mountain but I could be wrong. For all those who havent gone to Whistler yet, you should really do whatever you have to do to get there. It is so far beyond any other bike park in terms of size, trail diversity, and the sheer amount of riding you can get done in a day. It is the place to go to progress your riding, after a week on the trails you will know what I mean.

And bring a lot of money because food and booze adds up when your staying in the village. If you think you have enough, bring a few hundred more might as well live it up while your there anyways!

Whistler is all about the combos, there is no best trail in whistler; its the best trail combo. For me its orginal sin to frieght train/no joke, sidetrack to duffman, then lower aline to either hornet or the gx course. Another deadly combo is frieght train to orginal sin to in deep, rip down that blue trail to get ready for too tight or d1. Then finish the fitz with shleyer to lower whistler downhill.

And Dirt Merchant to lower A-Line!!
  • + 4
 orriginal sin-in deep-fatcrobat-D1-schleyer-dwayne johnson-and then whateverSmile
  • + 4
Blue Velvet to anything and I am happy
  • + 4
 Schleyer to Dwayner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • + 2
Frieght train/no joke, dirt merchant, aline, to gx course is a great trail combo
  • + 3
You guys speak a whole other language. I need to go to Whistler!
  • + 5
Schleyer to Detroit rock city to whistler dh to heart of darkness
  • + 2
Yeah freight train - dirt merchant - lower a line is the biggest grin-fest I've ever had!
  • + 24
How do people think Aline is the best it gets boring
  • + 1
aline is for "hacks". when i say that i mean people that ride aline more then 1 or 2 times aday
  • + 2
what do you mean boring? i've ridden it around 5 times in one day and i can't say i've started enjoying it less
  • + 6
It's definitely not boring but I dont understand how you could lap it all day and nothing else. I also find that the guys who do lap after lap of A-line and have a decent amount of style are often completely incompetent on any other type of trail. There is so much more you can learn on a tech trail. They are so much more challenging.
  • + 1
Nah, it's not boring! Like you need variation so It might get boring if its all you rode but I ride it at least once or twice a day.
  • + 3
And if you ride Fade to Black more than 2 times in a day then you're definitely a hack.
  • + 4
If you choose A-line you have never ridden dirt merchant.
  • + 3
Agree mostly here, Dirt Merchant beats out A-line to be honest. I prefer Upper over Lower Aline but DM still wins. I don't get guys who just lap a-line though. I totally agree that some of the people who only ride that are usually crap riders or DJers just shredding down. Good for them though, biking is biking, you just won't catch me lapping a-line on repeat very often.
  • + 1
Dirt Merchant is most definitely where it's at, especially when preceded by Freight Train/No Joke. Maybe a little New Joke.

This thread should be titled "What trail do you know on Whistler?"
  • + 16
 afternoon delight fuck
  • + 1
Renegades easily not to well known but man is that a fun trail
  • + 8
easy does it, i mean, do we need anything else?
  • + 7
why are all the squids saying A line? it's not a proper dh track!
  • + 10
It says trail not DH track
  • + 1
Yea but honestly I can't stand people who ride Aline every single lap there are about 60 other amazing trails. Don't get me wrong Aline is RAD but gets boring if you have been there enough
  • + 6
rock city? theres like 60 other trails
  • + 6
upper joyride to detroit rock city, canadian open or lower dh
  • + 6
I have a problem... I've never been to whistler
  • + 5
What no love for funshine rolly drops? This is a travesty.
  • + 2
Joyride -> schleyer -> crack addict -> canadian open -- one of my all time favorite runs.
Actually starting to like heading onto lower whistler downhill instead of crack addict a bit more recently.
  • + 4
Original Sin, Goat Gully, In Deep, Fatcrobat, D-1, Schleyer, Detroit Rock City, Canadian Open! For Days!!!

Yup that was my last run of the day, and first time on that trail, and holy fook was it fun. Also hitting Fade Black just from a buddies description, then sending it blind was fun. Dang i miss Whistler
  • + 4
 ninja cougar /karate monkey
  • + 3
There is no one best trail. Depends on the day and conditions and what you feel at the time.
  • + 1
Fun mellow jump lines: Blue Velvet -> Upper and Lower Crank it Up -> Heart of Darkness.

If those were the only trails there I would still be happy. :-)
  • + 1
Trespasser or ride dont slide followed by a pulled pork burger. I do agree with those that say wistler is about the combos though.
  • - 2
Officially they don't exist Razz , South of Heaven. In bounds I'd go for Angry Pirate to Crack addict, or Duffman, Side Track or No Joke/New Joke. Only got to ride Afternoon Delight once when it just opened.
  • + 7
both of you delete your comments, those trails should not be spoken of on the internet, period
  • + 1
Some people just dont have any cop on.
  • + 1
Next poll question: What is your favorite POV video from Whistler? (for those of us whose only chance to ride in Whistler so far is to ride vicariously through others)
  • + 1
RDS, I know it doesn't go back to the base, but it's my all-time favourite trail ever.
  • + 1
angry pirate khybers alta pump-track ANY pump track carved logs opposite the snake run at the skate park LOL
  • + 1
Inside the park or outside? My favourite Whistler trails aren't in the park boundary.
  • + 2
I wish i could answer that, haven't been there Frown
  • + 2
 Joyride Upper & Lower!
