I ride this on a Slope Style course most of the time. I also ride on xc trails. Easy to jump the bike 30' (or most any distance a normal DH rider would need) in the "Float" mode. Then switch to "Climb" mode for XC or getting back up the Slope Style run. Feels great in the air. Only gripe is the front fork could use a little more rebound (slow it down). You can feel it after landing from a big jump. But not a big deal. Really love this bike. Would not change anything but the valving on the fork ... maybe.

This is a big bike, it handles more like a DH bike than like a trail bike, EWS bike indeed. As soon as you pick up some speed it becomes very stable, for my likes too stable. Uphills quite well but only in short travel setting on DYAD shock, in open mode it becomes wallowy and I'd say worse than my 2008 SC Nomad with well setup rear shock. Shock has issues, the one I rented had messed up rebound already after its second week in service in bike rental at Garda.

Big bike for big mountains. Stumpjumper FSR 29 EVO felt more nimble, just as LiteVille 401 I tried two days after.
