To make it a really useful FR bike for practical reasons, it should have a travel adjust in the front. I find the derailleurs questionable, but work well if you tune them right.
The 2009 model has some benefits over the 2007: DHX4.0, Saint cranks/derailleurs/shifters, brakes seem a tossup - Hayes to Saint.
I am not a fan of propedal, so I switched my Fox for a true lockout so I can deal with the long climbs, but have good suspension for the trail, so the 2007-2009 upgrade from Fox Van to 4.0 is irrelevant to me.
Helluva bike! There are a few parts that can be switched around to make it more appropriate for each rider, but as a general bike (frame), there is really very little room to improve.
Overall 5 stars for 2007. 5 stars for 2009 too!
