Chromag Bikes Aperture (MSRP $2950) — "I want a steel bike. I want a hardtail. But most of all I want a Chromag because I know they are designed with exactly the kind of ride quality that I want and trust. More so, I had all the parts to build up a new bike, including a wicked set of 26-inch wheels and a fork that I’ve had for years I don’t want to go to waste. I like riding really technical trails – greasy, gnarled routes in the forest, lines with commitment that challenge the rider’s ability more than anything. I also like to get out on all-day pedals to find out what’s over the next hill and test my ability to last the duration. Then there’s days I want to go down to the woods at the end of my street and just breath some fresh air and hang a foot out on every corner to get my kicks. Really, all I want is something dependable and reliable that just gets me out on the trails. Riding, that’s what I’m in it for."
