There just so pretty! Sticky as hell don't matter the shoe. easy to replace or add pins. They can take a serious beating and only take some cosmetic damage, but this just adds character. I will rock Crankbros any time any where!

When all the pins are in they grip super well, but the pins tend to fall out regularly aswell as teh bolts that hold teh plates onto the pedals. Both replacements can get be bought online, or at a good harware store with metric. one plus, they look bad ass with colored plates.

These pedal are great, the bearings are super smooth and very durable. The thing that I like most about these pedals are how grippy they are. I've had no issues with my feel slipping of these pedals in various conditions including rain & snow and ice.
Another great thing about these pedals is the colored plate that looks very cool.

Overall very happy with these pedals and would strongly recommend.

i wouldnt recomend ive had 2 pairs plate screws dont hold and fall out eaisily all my firends who have these still have the plates zap strapped so they wont fall off its ridiculous sure they look great but they arnt practical and arnt very grippy at all there are way better sealed baring pedals out there the kona wahwah that came stock on my kona were better then these..

Unbelievable how much grip. Everything can be upgraded or replaced so they will last a lifetime. Not the cheapest but for the grip and the ability to replace everything it's worth it. CrankBrothers definently do not dissapoint.

Lovely pedals but not in the wet beware make sure to get longer pin kit for it otherwise they are useless, but i have an 06 pair and they are still in one bit bearings are still tight and really a good pedal if you look after them.

These pedals are sick!!!! I have the black and red ones. The only problem is the rounded pins that come with the pedals are too short so you have to pre-order longer pins so your shoes don't slip of while your riding. I recommend not using the screw pins because the tear up your legs pretty bad if your feet slip off. Other than that these are the best pedals I have ever had on any of my bikes.

i love mine they are on my jamis Kromo and i love them. they are heavy in comparison to some other pedels but that doesn't count when you compare quality. i am getting blue plates for them. i am still in shock from they colour range.

probibly the smoothest and the most grippy pedals i have had so far one downfall is that they dont have a great deal of choice in colour. but in comparison to the dmr v8s they are a much better peadal as they are inteanded for the same use an all rounder.only downfall is the bearings dont last that long

i had the 5050x on my old bike and i was amazed about the colour combination. thats why i bought them. later they started to make "clack" souds and the bearing died after a year of riding. i got new ones in pink and my gf is amazed of them.

Have the 5050x on my other bike and use the 5050xx on my current Big Hit, they were on my Nox Flipper before. You see, this is a high quality Pedal made for hardcore usage. Virtually indestructable. Combine it with a Ti Axle for eternal usage. You might want to set in some pins of your own in order to customize grip to your likings. CrankBrothers offer a great customer service btw!

These can come in great colours, i have them in black and gold, and they are definatl have a high quality standard, They are extrmely light and easy to fit, and also easy to change the pins or plates if needed. XX also come with two spare plates and two kinds of pins: threaded and pined. only thing is they are extremly expinsive! Hmm!

Slimline, low maintenance (you do need to keep the grease topped up). Grippy when you use all the pins and no slop in the axles unlike the Burgtecs that I now have which cost twice as much!

Great Pedal!

great grip on this pedal! my only complaint, is that they require a ot of maintenance. All around however, if you don't mind occasionally tightening a loose screw, Great Peddals!

Good deal if you get it on sale for around $70. Would not pay $135 though. The XX is a good pedal. Can be serviced by yourself. Get some good stainless set screws from fastenal or a fastener store for cheap and you're set.

As with the 5050x these are quality, changed black grubs for chrome spikes all round, a little lighter than the 5050x and with a sealed bearing that makes it a much smoother feel.

So sick and grip like no other, put in all the pins and just hit it! They are kinda light and look very great on the bike. from dirt jump to world cup racing! It is one of the top pedals for sure!

Thanks J

Pros: Rebuild kits are available if needed. Fully serviceable. Good grip if long pins are used. Plates can be changed to 'pimp' things up if needed.
Cons: Short pins are no good for grip if used in the wet.

Great pedals, plate screws need to be checked reguarlly to ensure they are tight, but the sealed bearings last ages - well worth the money!

Spindle and body very good. Bolts and pins fall out/round very easily however crank brothers replace them if you email. Awesome service.

Low profile , large surface and good pin placement offer awesome grip on most shoes. The large surface area is a bad thing though when it's wet or muddy.

Ive used these pedals for about 1 year now and they still are going great. My only complain would be the bearings. They didnt last too long. But for grip, there pretty good.
