I just picked this up last week and spent a few days at Trestle Bike Park putting it through its paces.
Pro
Love the boxxer, yes its not their high end version, but it is a fantastic compromise for a budget build DH machine. For $300 more, you can upgrade it if you feel that is necessary. At this point it is more than adequate.
The Van is another great shock for the price. Change out to a Ti spring if you want. The 450 lb spring works fine for me (6 ft, 190 lbs).
Yea, all the components are good, why waste your money. If you are a high end rider, then buy a high end bike or upgrade this with whatever you want.
Cons -
They worked hard to put on some padding to protect the frame and chainstays.... It fell off the first day. I replaced it with 3M conformal tape (love it). Not a big deal...

Bottom line, an awesome budget bike that is fully capable for weekend warriors through budding racers. Plenty of opportunity to upgrade components for better performance and lower weight. This bike was a game changer for me, I love it.
