DT swiss = quality. I bought this hub as part of a wheelset and it is bomb proof. I really like the QR/Thru-axle design. I didn't at first, but it really is innovative and works much better than a standard QR. It also sounds great (loud, but clearly a hub and not a pack of bees). I honestly can't think of a downside, except maybe the fact that it is really expensive. You get what you pay for...

use this in 150x12mm built up with a sun ringle MTX29 rim.. awesome wheel, it's lasted plenty of runs, in the best of british weather Razz .. super easy to service the hubs, nice and simple, but work a charm.

Holds up, which is more than I can say for most other hubs (about 12) I've had laced. Company has great service. What more do you need?

DT Swiss 340 Disc Brake Thru Axle Is 6 Bolt (MSRP $357.1) — DT Swiss 340 hubs are the right choice for an around the world trip. Solid and tough so you don‘t have to worry even if the next bike shop is hundreds of miles away.

Specifications Compare to other Hubs

Price $357
Weight 298 g
Color Options Black
Spacing 135/150
Spacing - most forks use a 20mm thru-axle (QR20), quick release/QR (9mm), or now, a 15mm hub. It is important to know which hub your fork needs as standard quick release hubs cannot be converted to use with a 20mm compatible fork. However, there are reducers for some hubs that can go from 20mm to standard QR. Rear hubs typically come in two sizes. The first is 150x12 and the second is 135x10. However, some bikes do use a 165mm hub and 135x12. It is important to know which rear hub is required on your bike so it will be compatible.
