Have the 2010, but it's not listed so will review it here:

Riding uphill has been so much better than my 2009 Trance X4. The Reign 0 frame is light, and the Talas fork is amazing. I almost never need to reach for the pro-pedal beause of the Maestro suspension. The shifters and derailleurs are crisp, though I would have liked a 2x10 on this bike. The geometry lends itself to climbing well.

Riding downhill has been amazing on this bike compared to the Trance X4. The Fox suspension is amazing, the Elixer CR brakes are responsive, powerful, and have tons of modulation. The 15QR thru axle feels stiff enough for almost anything, and with a 30' bar the bike is smooth over fast, rough terrain. I feel like a rockstar on this bike on the downhills both technical and fast and flowy.

I have the 2012 version of this bike. Before I bought it I spent hundreds of hours reading through reviews on all kinds of bikes, chatting online with others, and test riding everything I could get my hands on. I love the Talas 150/120 fork. I makes all the difference in 120 it feels like a XC bike with 150 it feels bottomless (realize I don't do any crazy 15 ft drops though). Fox's RP23 and Giant's Meastro system are dead on perfect for each. It east everythign in its path without showing signs of peddle bob. Thanks Giant for a great bike.

Think about the price. You may have to pay double when you want to buy with same spec from other companies. For a small rider like me (5"2'), Reign 0 XS fits perfect.

Giant 2011 Reign 0 (MSRP $4850) — Six inches of aggressive Maestro Suspension offer maximum control when it’s needed most. With a balanced ALUXX SL aluminum frame, including a super-stiff OverDrive front end and 15QR thru-axle fork for maximum control, you’ll master technical climbs and flow down rough descents on the all-new Reign.
