Have bought a new the 2011 GT Force 1 in 2012 and love the components, adjustable seat post in particular.
Suspensions feel grate, I am experimenting with a coil shock and even the extra weight added does not limit the ascending power of this bike.

Well engineered and beautiful.

 Had a 2010 Model.
Absolutely fantastic, am most likely going to buy again.
Feels really light for a 150mm travel bike, climbs really nicely.
Descends great, really light and flickable, but not "twitchy".

GT 2011 Force 1.0 (MSRP $3499) — The Force is as rugged and burly as they come. Built with the same personality and capabilities of the Force Carbon, but in a more affordable package, this ride shreds every inch of mountain. 150 mm of travel, Independent Drivetrain suspension, and lightweight components makes the Force a true All-Mountain ride.
