I actually got to downhill on this bike at Canyons, Utah. I loved it so much! The hardest run I did was Wild Mouses (6 ft. drops at most, with pretty good sized kickers) Got to do some uphill on it too, and handled like a dream.

Pros-Good Components, lightweight, control, price

Cons-26 inch wheels (which some people actually might like)

Wheels are forced with 32 spokes and disk brakes, the frame is tough and solid, front shock has long travel and it is quite cheap.
