2012 GT sanction 2.0 has fox Float RL, fairly basic but works flawlessly.
rear suspension has amazing peddling, and very good over rough stuff. fork is rockshox lyric coil, amazing fork! fairly heavy, but is one of the best forks out there. bike overall is great, has 66 head angle, and dh oriented geo.
Pros- good suspension, good pedaling, very good geometry. inexpensive
Cons- a bit on the heavier side for an am bike, but this is considered enduro so it is fairly ok. dropper post is problematic (xfusion). paint is easy to chip off in chain area, recommended protection. basic tuning: only rebound on front, rear air, rebound and lockout
would recommend for am and even bike park use!

While a bit dated and not by any means light this bike is a heap of fun to ride down. And perfectly fine riding up too. Saint group set, 66 degree head angle and Fox 36 says enough about it's intended purpose.
With a wider set of bars this bike carries a reasonably contemporary spec.

I have just had to sell my Sanction 1.0, but that isn't to say I didn't love being on her every second I could get!
Very plush ride (I actually had the 2008 model, in army green) - the only fault I could mention is that the rear triangle used to creak and groan something awful if copper grease wasn't applied to the removable rear mech hanger. Had to regrease it after only 3 or 4 rides (or put up with an awful creaking noise). I am not sure if this has been rectified in the latest model.
That said, I looked after my Sanction, it never let me down and was more bike than I ever needed really, for my competence level.

I am on the '08 model.....I can climb this bike for 3hrs straight and then rip down for another 2hrs and I feel great.....uber efficient pedal platform and so stable through technical decents....loads of fun!!!
