 I've made some up-grades on my new(having it from an unsold stock at a country distributor) GT Sanction 2.0 2012 model, after 3 months of having it:
160mm Pike, Tune King&Kong with CX-Rays and Flow EX rims, Syntace mega force 2 and vector carbon, XT-XTR hybrid drive train, 11-46 cassette, KMC X11 SL DLC(red), Saints with 180mm XT discs and XT SPD pedals. Flys up and down like a dream. Also, it's 2.6 kg lighter than before. Originally, I've put Vittoria Morsa Graphene+ front and back but, after 2 months of usage, the front has been changed with something that has more grip and, unfortunately, more rolling resistance(Magic Marry Trailstar); red ESI grips, KS dropper and also a red Scoop Radius saddle, it looks very special as well. I love it!
Pros: solid, balanced, seems unbeatable on the trail
Cons: You can tell it's a 2008-2012 design by noticing how short it is. The norm for M size enduro bikes of today is at least 1187 mm for their wheelbases, while the Sanction 2.0 has only 1141 mm. Also, the seat tube is a little high at 470 mm. 30-50 mm lower would have been great, as I could have used a 150 mm droper and not a 125 mm one;

but, for my riding skill and level, it is great. Especially since it doubles as a Mountain Touring bike(1 to 3 or 4 days of biking on mountain trails); it's pedaling is very good and effective.

 2012 GT sanction 2.0 has fox Float RL, fairly basic but works flawlessly.
rear suspension has amazing peddling, and very good over rough stuff. fork is rockshox lyric coil, amazing fork! fairly heavy, but is one of the best forks out there. bike overall is great, has 66 head angle, and dh oriented geo.
Pros- good suspension, good pedaling, very good geometry. inexpensive
Cons- a bit on the heavier side for an am bike, but this is considered enduro so it is fairly ok. dropper post is problematic (xfusion). paint is easy to chip off in chain area, recommended protection. basic tuning: only rebound on front, rear air, rebound and lockout
would recommend for am and even bike park use!
