Best Purchase I've made to date...
yes it sometimes sticks on the first press after a week in the garage but only for a second. After that it is smooth like butter all day.(i also have the 2011 model on my girlfriends bike and it doesnt stick at all) The seat does not rotate or sway inside the housing like other brands. I prefer the under seat lever but both work great. I've used it for a season and couldn't be happier. Its amazingly durable and at 225lbs i break stuff. My girlfriend says it makes steep descents possible.
Bottom Line!!! Best innovation since dual suspension and Kind Shock nailed it... Props to pinkbike, I was wondering when someone would report on the best post out there...

Absolutely FANTASTIC piece of engineering. Have it now for a week and already ask myself how I got along without it. Moves very nice. One little negative thing I have observed: in cold temperatures (below 0 degrees Celsius), the switch locking the position of the seat post does not shift properly, and needs some manual help. But who is actually that crazy (except myself) to ride a bike below zero?

I have the standard i900r and it is amazing, ridden for over a year in mud, welsh mud and bit of dry stuff. The lever is very ergonomic but it does not fit well on the end of a superstar components grip as it says it will because the flanged parts on the grips have to be in a certain position which means you can't postition the lever to your prefered position. However, this is only a very small problem and doesn't matter at all if you run odi rufian or similar. If you're hesitant about buying this product, just do it and you'll not regret it at all, ever.

Very smooth, initial setup a bitch because of allen grub screw being stripped right out of the box. 3mm allen key anyone?? Come on guys. 3" travel version. If the 5" fits on your bike, get it. Full rebuild instructions in manual.Only used a few times, flawless and smooth operation. Pretty light for the amount of mechanical parts. Remote lever is bling, works very well. Nice kevlar housing included. Cable exits straight out the front of the bars, which is totally stupid. Included noodle to give a right angle bend looks even worse, I chucked it. Who wants a V-brake noodle hanging off ther bars! Other than that, it is gorgeous. Well worth the money, I don't regret a thing.

Have been using it since the spring of 2011, lever on the handlebar is great. Requires maintenance after every ride, my only issue is that it usually rises back up to the top, but falls 1" short of the max height, and sometimes requires either an ass bump, or a grab with the hand to get it all the way up.

Been using it in muddy NW conditions for almost a year...always worked perfectly. As long as you blast the mud from the release mechanisim on the post itself it will work completely reliably. I use it 50-100 times per ride...and in over 1500 miles of riding.

We have 2 of them now. Bought the 950r for my wife, one of the best gifts ever. She rides an avg of once a week and it's been flawless. Maintainence has been "0". So impressed that when I ordered my 29er, I ordered the 900r at the same time. So far no complaints other than a slight bit of wiggle and as someone said earlier the first time you hit the button it may stick.

This is the best addition you can make to your bike. Yes it adds a bit of wieght to your ride but making decents with your rear perched above or behind a fully extended fixed seat post is idiotic. The remote control leaver interfaces directly with ODI grips. It is infinitly adjustable has no wiggle and slides up and down smoothly for just the right drop when needed. it is the best addition you can make to an MTB. Any XC bread bike without one is missing the mark!

Nice and simple, easy to service, gets a bit sticky when not used regularly but a bit of grease fixes it up.

This is the best drop seat post out there. One of the greatest mtb inventions since the wheel. Couldn't live without it.
