Great XC/Trail bike. I have upgraded wheels, brakes, handle bars and stem (Mavic Crossmax SLR wheels, 70mm Thomson stem, 720mm Race Face bar and XT brakes) and have gone to 1x9 (32 tooth). It is light and fast and handles all that I have thrown at it, from rocky rooty descents to 5 ft drops. Climbs well, makes tight switchbacks easy. It has a bit steep of a Head Tube Angle of 69.5, which took me a bit to get used to coming from a slacker ride (Kona Coiler) It is not a plush over the roots and rocks as the Coiler was, but so much lighter and faster on tight twisty XC trails and climbs. It can easily handle more than the typical XC bike, but it is not a 6" AM bike either, somewhere in between. Current weight is about 28.5 lbs. This is the 19" Frame. I am 6' 1" and weight 178. I have had it for 4 years, and ride at least once a week on very rooty XC singletrack
