the dirt jumper 2 forks are simply the the best dirt jumping forks around. they are light weight, very smooth and have lots of travel to them. there is onley one bad thing about them which is great, its the hard to get into air loosener/tightener, its got this seel on it that is stuck on it really good. but most of it is awsome.

For riders on a budget these forks perform! It isnt a fork that needs fancy travel adjust and compression speed adjustment, its simply a fork that will put up with abuse and help save your wrists on hard landings. I also had the problem where my 08 20mm versions became nearly rock solid but mz took the forks fixed them for free and I had them back in less than a week, thats pretty good! Sadly the next fork that I buy probably will be Rock Shox but thats only because I hear so much good stuff about them and they seem like quality forks, but thats just my opinion.

i have the 2010s and they are AWESOME!!!! even though they are a dj fork, i have used them on trails and they hold their own. the only thing i don't like is that u have to take off this stupid cap to adjust the air pressure but other then that, they are a great dj fork

2004 dirt jumper 2 20mm though axle. Years of riding ,tuning, dissembling ,lowering ,removing springs and beating the hell out of it. Only downfall is the lower latches . Cracked one side on a rock had to replace. Other than that this thing is a tank!!

Now im gonna be honest - Good but not great - I have ridden Marzochi since the begionning of their creation - and i have to say i feel standards have slipped and the materials in manufacturing are definatly cheaper!

The Z1 series were phenomnal when they arrived - tons of liquid smooth travel - beauty!

The Dj series seem to have lost the smooth and slick plush feel the marzoxhi are famous for

In my opiniuon these are great forks for jumps - but nothing else at all

For jumps and street you loose the wrsit snap feel if you had rigid forks

Also they are stiff as a iron girder - also amazing!

And lets not forget they aint to heavy for the price and strength yopu recieve!

as unresponsive on the trail as a nun on her first date

To me if you want a DJ fork witht the same output and result as this - safe yourself some cash and buy some 1999 rockshock judy

just wanted to mention that apparently the bore hole was not drilled big enough in the 08's. mine got very stiff, pretty much rigid, and it had to be sent away. it was warrantied though. it ended up feeling like shit so i walked away from marzocchi this time and went with RS

Bulletproof. I've smashed this thing in way bikes shouldn't slam and it holdin up like a champ. Not the softest you;ll find arond but if your looking for a no complaints, nice and tight, dirt jumping/urban fork then you cant go wring with the DJ2. DJ2 09 even comes with opt 20 mm!

This fork came stock on my brodie and it feels pretty plush for the price of it, if your worried about the weight dont be because it isnt that much of a difference from a 302 or a 318

Great strength is the key factor of this work. It's very strong, easy to adjust and smooth. It's not the lightest fork but it's other attributes make up for this and more!

Quite a solid fork, not too stiff so it can be used for light DH and freeride too. Its a bit on the heavy side but other than that its a good quality fork.

proper solid fork but the name says it all. this fork is meant for dirt jumping so a suppose a cant really complain if its balls on rocky downhill sections

Marzocchi MTB Dirt Jumper 2 (MSRP $269) — "Last year we built the biggest thing to hit the 4X market. This year it’s even better! Before your next gate drops you need to be on a Marzocchi 4X. Of course, Dirt Jumper owned every event it entered. Our best riders use this fork on some of the most relentless trails made by man."

Specifications Compare to other Forks

Release Date 2009
Price $269
Weight 3066 g
Color Options Black
Travel 100 mm
Travel - refers to the distance the wheel can move in respect to the frame. Typically measured in millimeters, most forks range from 80 to 203 mm of travel
Spring Coil
Crown Single
Rebound Yes
Rebound - is how quick your fork returns to a fully extended position after being compressed. Almost all after-market forks feature external rebound adjustment for easy fine tuning.
Stanchion material 32mm Steel Stanchions
Steer Tube 1.125
Damping Open Oil Bath
Damping - The process of absorbing the energy of impacts transmitted through the forks or rear shock during the compression stroke, and absorbing the energy of the spring during the rebound stroke.
DropOut Options 20mm
Compression Air Preload
Compression - This is the damping circuit that absorbs the compression energy force on the damper. Compression damping is used to adjust how quickly a fork or rear shock compresses when hitting a bump, and is adjustable on some products. When compression damping is too soft, this condition allows most of the available travel to be used without attaining control of the wheel. When it's adjusted too firmly, the wheel will jump or "dance" about when hitting small bumps, again failing to gain control of the wheel.
