Got this bike for my son over the winter, he has not ridden it yet but my initial thought are nice bike not too heavy (24.6 lbs) but one thing I notice is the geometry exactly what is advertised. The bike is longer than claimed because the chain stays (rear center) are 2cm longer (40 vs 38cm). Disappointing considering that was one of the factor for choosing this model. At 40 cm it is still reasonably short but not as much as the offerings for the dedicated kids bike company (Spawns, TrailCraft, etc).
It is shame that most of the major bike company thinks that kids bike needs to be so long, a proper geometry will help kids learn to ride trail better.
