Very stiff and quite light crankset which won't let you down. I must say that it's even better than the shimano XT crankset, but with Schimano XTR chain it's not shifting gears properly, so I changed Chainrings to Shimano SG-X and now it's perfect!

I lucked out and got these before they cost so much and have loved them. I don't need the large ring but thats just me. Pedaling is much more solid and smooth feeling with these cranks. My Black has faded a bit and has a slight purple tint now but that's the only con.

Very stiff and quite light crankset which won't let you down. Also good looking and different colors optional. I ride it on a 4x bike and I must say that it's even better than the shimano XT crankset which I was riding before.

Purchased aftermarket with noticeable improvement over my stock Bontrager race light. Weighed in at 925g w/ Bottom bracket. Had a few issues with shifting. After adjusting the chainline with included spacers, all was well. Very stiff crank and I am very impressed with chainrings as I have used this crank avidly without need for replacement for over two Years (Burn through two chains + one cog per season). Look for the "Half bash" bash guard if you have a lower BB height and intend to keep the third ring (Manufactured by RF specifically for these cranks).

Pros: Strong. Stiff as all get out. Hassle-free self-extracting system.

Cons: Teeth are a little thin on the chainrings. After a year they look noticeably worn down.

Comment: First time you install one, it may take a lot of force to bottom the spider out (up to 900 inch-lbs.)

These cranks (170mm, 2 ring version with bash) are used on my Chromag Stylus hardtail for 2 seasons now and they're still working flawlessly. The X-Type AM BB cups hold up pretty well too, the only downside are the plastic BB spacers coming with the crankset...they tend to break and are the reason for some really anoying creaking in the BB are. But get yourself some aluminium ones and you're fine. Right now there's nothing more to say about this product...so get a set, put it on your favourite AM bike and get out on the trails to have fun!!
