good all round forks. Can pick them up cheap nowadays too. Not too heavy and strong too. I used mine for everything however I had to see the go because I needed more travel on my full sus. If you want a good all round fork then get this! I advise the stiffer spring inside them though

Overall a great, stiff fork with excellent small-bump response and durability. A do-everything fork, though its pretty heavy. REALLY SMOOTH when i got it and several hundred miles later it's still awesome. clyde approved, this fork will not flex on you like a 9mm QR fork and takes hits well.

The fork is light tough and reasonably priced!!!
whats not to love
I use it on my 2004 norco 125, its great because you can dial it down for groomed dirt jumps and trail rides or dial it up for bigger hits. It came highly recomended for my application and im glad i bought it
Great for your budget build

Amazing fork. Got it when it was £330 and have not regretted it. Have had it 2 years and haven't had to do any maintenance other then cleaning after a ride. Great value, plush and fairly light. What more could you want? 5 out of 5.

i have these forks on my p.2-there great! they work well for bumpy rides when set on full tavel and as loose as they go. Put these forks down and harden them u and there just like an argle-great for park/urban riding. I would recommened this fork to anyone who wants a great all round "hadrtail fork"

although this fork is not bad for a 5.5inch bike and up it is quite soft for it-i would not recommend this for a bike such a norco six and bigger

bottom line: great fork dose it all for a hardtail-not the best for bigger travel bikes (5.5 inch+)

This fork is perfect for an AM fork, but it also handles well on the DJ's. If you're going to use it for DJ's, upgrade to the X-Firm spring. Stock spring is really soft and they do have some flex in the lowers, if i drop my front end from a few inches off the ground I can see the lowers around the axle vibrating. Not something you . If you want a street fork, go for the argyle or something stiffer for that intended use. Otherwise it's a great quality fork.

Ive got these and there worth every penny. They gota a 20mm though maxle which makes them really strong, they got adjustable travel which comes in handy ( i ride mine at 140mm all the time Smile ). There not as light as foxes but compared with the price id always go for these. They super plush and nice awsome on ur bike!!!

i ride my pike 426 on a transition double. it is absolutely amazing if you want a fork that can truely do it all. i ride it at 95mm at the skate park, 110 dirtjumping, and at full travell for freeride. and it feels great for all of them!

One of the best forks every made IMO. You can batter the hell out of these and they'll just keep going. servicing is a piece of cake, no special oils or special tools to keep it running buttery smooth. downside is that they never made a solo air version but if you buy the argyle RCT solo air its effectively the same fork.

An incredible fork... I've had mine years now it fills me with confidence even now... I've kept it serviced over the years with the help of TF Tuned... and recently gave them a lease of new life by having them resprayed... hitting the biggest jumps I've ever hit on these at the moment... and they hold up perfectly...

Awesome fork! I use this as a dirt jumping and an All-mountain fork. It's not the stiffest fork on the market, but it does it's job for dirt jumping and it super smooth! It's a fantastic all-mountain fork with the ability to lock out the fork and decrease the travel. I'm sad to see this fork go from the Rockshox line up, but it's understandable - most people run more travel these days. But that just means you can pick one of these up at a sick price!

The only problem I have with these is weight but compared to the super plush action of these forks, and the adjustability, it doesnt seem to be much of an issue.

RockShox Pike 426 Coil U-Turn (MSRP $552) — All Mountain Fork.

Specifications Compare to other Forks

Release Date 2009
Price $552
Weight 2449.39 g
Color Options Diffusion Silver, Diffusion Black (AM)
Travel 95-140 mm
Travel - refers to the distance the wheel can move in respect to the frame. Typically measured in millimeters, most forks range from 80 to 203 mm of travel
Spring Coil
Crown Single
Body Type Magnesium, Maxle 360 20mm, IS disc mount
Rebound External Rebound
Rebound - is how quick your fork returns to a fully extended position after being compressed. Almost all after-market forks feature external rebound adjustment for easy fine tuning.
Stanchion material 32mm 7000 series straight wall Aluminum, low friction anodized with travel gradients
Steer Tube 1.125
Damping Motion Control
Damping - The process of absorbing the energy of impacts transmitted through the forks or rear shock during the compression stroke, and absorbing the energy of the spring during the rebound stroke.
DropOut Options Maxle
Compression Low speed compression to 'Lock', external Floodgate
Compression - This is the damping circuit that absorbs the compression energy force on the damper. Compression damping is used to adjust how quickly a fork or rear shock compresses when hitting a bump, and is adjustable on some products. When compression damping is too soft, this condition allows most of the available travel to be used without attaining control of the wheel. When it's adjusted too firmly, the wheel will jump or "dance" about when hitting small bumps, again failing to gain control of the wheel.
