My first full suspension bike and I believe its the perfect balance between high performance and budget pricing. Front suspension is the only component that I'd recommend updating (eventually). Something with at least pre-load or rebound adjustment. I have the 2010 Element 10 which came with the 33 Lo Bomber coil spring which is all pre-set, no adjustments. The bike is a little stiff when comparing to other fullies but, this is what I like most about it. It keeps you grounded for maximum traction and is stiff enough so that you don't lose on pedal efficiency. Best bang for your buck hands down!
