Ridden against a 2010 RM SXC 50, Giant Reign 1, Giant Reign SX, Trek Fuel 7.0. Hands down, this pedaled the best, certainly the most stable. The components are a great value and the 36mm Vanilla fork and tapered head tube give loads of plush, kush suspension and beefiness. The SRAM components sealed the deal, however.

It does have a noticeably more compact cockpit over the 2010 SXC 50 and the Giants.

Love it!

if it's anything like my slayer 50 2007 then I really recommend it. I upgraded to Fox Van 160s, Mavic rims and Hope Tech M4 brakes, putter a shorter stem with 780mm low rise bar, topping off with an ardent rear and minion front tyre. My perfect bike, pedals uphill easily but it's burly enough for a DH run at Cwmcarn!

You will be hard pressed to find a comparable bike in this price point. The Slayer 50 is well equiped to handle any trail you may want to try. This bike is fast going up and even faster going down!

All around dream - climbs very easily (the geo is excellent) but is a blast down the mountain. Comes with decent stock parts and wont really need that many upgrades!
