Great downhill bike my friend has one and i love it one problem is that unlike the weak framed session88 DH the rear susspension bounces around more than the session88DH which is a little smother of a ride because of the more up and down movement due to the vertical shock instead of the horizantal shock placement

Great bike but a little heavy. Jumps way better than expected and fairly easy to move around in the air considering its weight(45 plus pounds for medium 2007). Great on bigger jumps, nice and stable in the air. Handles drops well, makes up for careless errors. almost bottomed out the fork but was fine. Low bottom bracket but never really a problem. A little sluggish at slow speeds but nothing unmanageable. Corners fantastically and lots of fun to ride.

This bike is fast and can hold a line. Very laterally stiff in the rear end which is great. A little on the heavy side but doesn't feel heavy when riding. Just point it down the trail and enjoy.

The bike is awesome! Very stable at high speeds, big jumps, corners extremely well. My friends could not believe it when they see me corner this bike and i am 6.1(1,87m) tall. The bike is heavy but you can feel it only when you loading it on the truck. Magically it loses the extra pounds after the first stroke on the pedal. The rear suspension works extremely well on braking and on rock gardens. It has great acceleration after exiting a corner. Could not be more happy about my bike!!!

Change the rear shock & front fork and it's ready to ride... Smile The frame and the other parts are strong and durable, with the change of suspension parts it's a perfect bike for dowhhill.

The geometry is very good and the bike is handy in downhill and freeride track also... It seems a bit heavy but it won't break (and there won't be deep dents) from the first crash (like in other famous brands).

Perfect bike for all "riding levels" (from rookie to professional). Honestly, from the moment I have this my riding skills started to grow with incredible speed... Smile

Best bike I've ever owned. Might be to much weight to handle for weaker riders. But for anyone else its the best bike ever made.

Great bike for all downhill riding. Very stable and jumps well. The only and only problem is the uphill. If you have a shuttler then this bike is amazing.

Rocky Mountain Flatline Pro (MSRP $5049) — LC2R The Low Centre Counter Rotating - LC2R - patented suspension is a laterally stiff design that offers a highly predictable ride in all conditions. Its low sprung weight and concentrated suspension mass allow the LC2R suspension to respond faster to ground forces, such as stutter bumps, and keep the rear wheel glued to the ground during acceleration. LC2R suspension is a single pivot design, with the main pivot located just above and behind the bottom bracket. Both chain and brake forces are concentric to this pivot through-out the suspension travel, which eliminates pedal “bob” and brake jack. A thrust/ tug link engages the top link to create a rising rate suspension and the much-sought-after “infinite travel” feel. We tune LC2R to create an optimal suspension rate for different types of riding – from super cross country to Freeride and to downhill. * Linearly Rising LC2R suspension rate is tuned for freeride and downhill racing; suspension progression is inherent to the linkage design, not the shock absorber. * Concentric to the main pivot point, chain and brake forces eliminate pedal “bob”; suspension is stable during pedaling, and “platform” pedaling is inherent to the suspension design - not the shock. * Counter rotating top link creates a more laterally stiff Swingarm for increased control in tight corners, and the occasional sideways landing. * The counter rotating link along with the kinked down tube allow for a low and center positioning of the shock absorber in the frame. This low-slung concentrated mass allows the bike to rotate in any direction faster than if the center of mass was positioned higher in the frame. * Oversized double-row angular contact bearings increase bearing life, and allow for a less expensive bearing to be used. (more affordable for retail level replacement) * Triangulated Swingarm maximizes suspension strength, while keeping its weight to a minimum. * Tuglinks (as opposed to thrustlinks) increase suspension sensitivity to very small bumps, further aiding in smoothing out the trail. FORM Technology The heart of a bike is its frame. The geometry, the material, the feel, and the way it reacts under the rider are the very essence of the ride. That’s why we’ve introduced FORM™ – the design and manufacturing process of our high-performance frame tubing. Our philosophy behind FORM™ tubing is to push the limits of tube and frame design to create the frame’s unique riding feel. Engineered Ride Quality : FORM™ tubing is a line of high-performance tubes designed to elevate the superior ride quality for which Rocky Mountain Bicycles are known. Innovative design: With 25 years of innovation, we continue to push the boundaries of bicycle design. FORM™ tubing is the exciting new frontier of our creativity. Attention to detail: Every detail in a FORM™ tube set is carefully engineered and has a purpose: from the slightest variations in shape, to wall thickness, tapers, flares and bends. Uncompromised quality: FORM™ tube sets are manufactured with premium materials and delivered by the best suppliers in the industry to meet Rocky Mountain’s strict requirements. Floating Brake (For Flatline Only) • RMB Designed Floating brake system (available as an after-market purchase) removes the rear wheel braking force (brake jack) from the suspension action. • The floating brake caliper eliminates wheel inertia effects of applying the rear brake by allowing the brake to move indepently of the rear axle. • The floating brake caliper maintains a constant wheelbase length throughout all points of front and rear travel.
