Rocky Mountain Slayer SS 350 (MSRP $2749.99) - LC2R The Low Centre Counter Rotating - LC2R - patented suspension is a laterally stiff design that offers a highly predictable ride in all conditions. Its low sprung weight and concentrated suspension mass allow the LC2R suspension to respond faster to ground forces, such as stutter bumps, and keep the rear wheel glued to the ground during acceleration. LC2R suspension is a single pivot design, with the main pivot located just above and behind the bottom bracket. Both chain and brake forces are concentric to this pivot through-out the suspension travel, which eliminates pedal “bob” and brake jack. A thrust/ tug link engages the top link to create a rising rate suspension and the much-sought-after “infinite travel” feel. We tune LC2R to create an optimal suspension rate for different types of riding – from super cross country to Freeride and to downhill. LC2R suspension rate is tuned to Slopestyle and bike park riding • Low centre of gravity makes the bike stable and quick handling • Counter rotating top link creates a predictable ride in extreme conditions. • Compact LC2R suspension design eases the ride through bumpy and rough terrain. • Single pivot design creates predictable suspension ride and feel. FORM Technology The heart of a bike is its frame. The geometry, the material, the feel, and the way it reacts under the rider are the very essence of the ride. That’s why we’ve introduced FORM™ – the design and manufacturing process of our high-performance frame tubing. Our philosophy behind FORM™ tubing is to push the limits of tube and frame design to create the frame’s unique riding feel.  Very nice ride indeed, i ride the 2008 version, has handled everything ive thrown at it, ridonkulous balance, with its lcg, you dont even have to budge riding the skinnies this bike is meant to stand upright, i didn`t like them factory stem, so i quickly upgraded, also the stock forks i have changed, it came with the 160mm rockshox domain 302, which are nice indeed, but threw on the domain 318, which came with compression and rebound adj. and .5 inch more travel, ive read that rocky mountain "had" some trouble with the swingarms in earlier versions so i hope they have rectified that, all in all, this ride is amazing wheather its a 15 foot drop or some doubles through a single track sesh this stock bike loves to use every bit of travel, which really makes it feel like theres nothing it cant handle,as for cornering, the slayer really likes to go straight, and fast, again with the lc2r the slayer will ease you into the corner, point and shoot, props for sure.

This is a sweet bike that feels like it has waaay more travel then it actually does. In fact, a little bit too much travel for an actual slopestyle bike, but still an awesome ride.

This bike is an overpriced POS and I will never look at a slayer the same way again. 2 thumbs way down!
