Rode the old Saints for 4 full seasons, and just got these new badboys.. And Shit these are ever better!! Lighter, stronger and cooler design!
Nice touch with permanent steel washers, instead of the old loose ones..Thanks big S.
Swapped the BB`s with a ChrisKing kit.. Boom!

These are some serious hardcore crank arms that has really high quality. Bearings hold well. Nothing to say about those arm cuz they are some beefy arms. And feels just smooth when pedaling. Get these and you will not regret it.

Have the old M800 series (68/73 BB) and what is there to say about them that hasn't been said before. The new ones are lighter than any cromo cranks out there, and the M800 are even lighter than some. I would also be willing to bet a large sum of money that they are stronger also.

Bottom line, probably the stiffest cranks out there, with IMO the best BB/axle system, and they are a part you put on and don't ever have to worry about.

For ages i was breaking cranks continually, so i bought saints, no more broken cranks!

theres no flex, no bend, no creaks, nothing! 9/10

only downside for me was my pinch bolt rounded, but i replaced this with a stainless steel bolt for preference and that made them a 10 for me Smile

the bb's also last quite a long time Smile

very nice cranks, stiff and not very heavy ~850g cranks + bb only (much lighter than older saints), also cool design Smile too bad they're very expensive and you can have little problem with different rockrings than shimano saint dedicated...

My friend owns one. It has taken so much abuse on park, dirt and trails and has held up so much better than any of my 3 pieces. His saint has held up longer than 3 of my bmx cranks, including a profile one. Amazing and it's still going strong.

Simply the stiffest, strongest cranks I have used. I have tried everything from 3 piece, Race Face, Octalink, ISIS, and Howitzer, but nothing has been as reliable as my Saints. Get the shorter lengths if you are a DH rider though, much better spin and less clipping on rocky stuff. The ease of installation and maintainance (provided you have the tools) is also great.

Strong as hell and still cant notice the weight. Plus they look sexy too! Im running them on my Jamis with a set of Crankbros 50/50 platforms and i don't think ill ever need to get another crank set. Shimano is a great company and has been in the game for a long time. They know what there doing!

Pro: Strong, Stiff, Reliable, Easy Maintainence, Color Scheme

Con: Expensive (...but you get what you pay for), on the heavy side (if your into that sort of thing)

Bought a new Demo 7 with brand new Truvativ Hussefelt cranks that stripped off the axle after the first day of riding. Saint has yet to budge even 3 years later with a 250lbs guy riding hard on them.

Best crankset out there. Shimano went all out with the new M810. I run the new 810-2 dual ring setup on my Intnse uzzi and its perfect. the dual rings come 22 and 36 tooth. With a bashguard what more could you ask for. Really Really stiff.

The bomb dot com. This is the DH standard. Nothing else compares. A little on the expensive side but nothing compares. Super burly and tough but not super heavy. They look sick which is always a plus. I have had the Race Face Atlas FR's and the Saints are a step above. The Shimano bottom bracket is much better than Race Face BB and the installtion and ease of removing the saints for cleaning or maintenance is a breeze. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

pros would be ease of instalation, overall clean shape, strenght and feel. top in its class for all.

cons would be weight and cost. but they are barely noticable.the weight is +/- 100g type of thing and the cost is usually full price (ebay/used/sale) so i'd say my fave cranks.

light and unbelivably stiff. the only problem was all the spacers had to go on the drive side to line the chain guide up (commencal supreme) aka the roller coaster. had to use the saint guard because it leans out from the spider, you could juse grind a bit of an angle onto your e thirteen bash so not a big deal.

Im still using the first gen saint cranks and there still holding up. I use them on my dh bike amd we all know how hard dh is on your bike, and parts so it's good to have dependable cranks. The saint cranks rule.

Not the thing you want to worry about , You may beat up Shimano XTR type cranks all you want .If your bike blows apart they will be the thing that is okay at the top of a heap of broken bike parts!
