I found these to be pretty light. I also found that they have much more bite then the XT's do.
They did take some time to get some bite when putting them on new rotors though but once they worked themselves in they were fine.

ALTHOUGH!!! I wouldn't recommend them for DH. Although they have a lot bite they don't feel like they would be able to hold it once they were to get hot. I use mine for trail riding and they work great and have a ton of modulation. But again. I wouldn't say they are DH worthy which is said considering the price tag.

Superior to the Avid Juicy 5s or 7s I had been running previously. Easy to bleed, very low maintenance, and just seem to work day in and day out. For their size there is considerable power, I've even thought about running them on my DH bike.

Great power, reliable, lightweight, good looks.
Just killer brakes.
A little difficult to set up but not a huge problem if you know what your doing.
