I am riding a demo right now. The bike is amazing in corners, super nible, easy to maneuver, and ready to get thrown off of anything. The suspension is super plush, highly recommend this bike. It's light too. Perfect for freeride and DH.

Such an awesome bike! I could do on all day about how good it is. I think it's better overall than the Demo 8 as it is more versatile, has the 1.5" Head Tube, almost the same travel (7.7" without travel limiter), and it's unbelievably strong (12Gs to break the head tube). It's also pretty light, the suspension design works incredibly well and it looks great! I could not recommend this bike more.

One of my favorite bikes I have ever owned, and I have owned many bikes including shore 1's, super 8's, 8balls, six's and none handle hard riding like this bike does, just floats through the rough stuff and pedals like a dream for a bike of this caliber.

Very adjustable suspension, around 38.5 lbs stock complete, bottomless feeling suspension, stiff laterally. The Demo 7 is a great bike!

very light, qulity parts right out of the box, great geometry, stance on the bike is relaxed, squishy...cons are the elixr brakes, should be switched for avid codes

Specialized Demo 7 II (MSRP $5500) — BUILT FOR STEEP TRAILS AND BIG AIR, our Demo laughs in the face of ruthless terrain with 7 and 8 inches of generous travel. Its top-of-the line Fox components, stable geometry with low central mass and insanely strong double ORE down tubes are competition-proven to withstand the most extreme abuse.

RockShox Totem Solo Air fork features 180mm of air-sprung travel for the best combination of low weight and tunability. 2Step Air provides fully active travel in multiple height settings.

Custom Avid Elixir R brakes feature full hydraulic calipers, metallic pads and a big 203mm rotor in front and 185mm in back for awesome control in fast and steep situations. Elixir R levers have a tool-free reach adjustment feature for enhanced comfort and control.

Specialized Lo-Pro magnesium pedals are low weight. The Cr-Mo axle, sealed bearings and replaceable grip pins also boost durability. 32-hole DT Swiss F550 rims are custom for Specialized. 32mm width, spoke eyelets and a sleeved joint bump up durability. DT Swiss Competition butted and stainless spokes provide a strong build for long-haul durability

Specialized Hi-Lo hub features variable sized flanges for a perfectly tensioned, ultra durable wheel. A 20mm thru-axle on the front improves stiffness and steering precision, while the 10mm chromoly axle in back increases durability.
