I've got the 2008 model (so my Pro Carbon has the awsome E150 triple crown fork, which Specialized now only include on the S-Works model unfortunately). I have to say this bike is awsome. It rips up the XC trails beautifully and quickly but I have also had some burly wheels made up (using Mavic EX-729 rims + Maxxis minion DH 2.5" tyres) for my free ride and downhill adventures. This makes the bike really feel very close to a Big Hit or SX Trail because of the extra weight. I love Specialized for their integrated approach, and the build quality is insanely good. You can adjust the geometry too depending on your riding style - and it goes pretty damn slack if you want it to. I am finding it really difficult to say anything bad about this bike other than to say the E150 fork has a non-standard 25mm bolt through hub/axle but it was easy and cheap to get another one directly from Specialized to make up my burly wheels. The only other mod I have made is to go to a double ring and bash setup to get rid of that pesky big ring. If you want a truly versatile and lightweight machine then this ticks every box going for me.

..:.. Peace out earthlings ..:..

this bike is super dialed, just replace the front rotor from an 8 to a 7, single the front out and get new bars, then this bike is probably one of the most beautiful works of art known to man.
