I picked up a set of these, front and rear specific, and I do like them, but I wouldn't recommend them for people riding on flat paths, and definitely not for city riding. These have a very aggressive tread design, and on pavement sound like a train coming. For trails and sand they seem pretty well balanced though. With the front, the don't worry too much about softer terrain because of the huge, sharp, chunky tread, and the rear is great for digging. The first day I mounted them I rode through a volleyball court and they just dug right through, kicked sand up to my head, and didn't leave me stranded. Nice tires, but recommend offroad use only.

I've never used the front, but the rear is absolutely the cat's ass for any rough, rooty, rocky terrain on a hardtail. Don't run it at too high pressure or you will lose grip.

These are a bit slow on hard surface, quite a lot of rolling resistance but immense amount of grip on soft ground.

Good all around tires! Rear grips very well in various types of terrain, and front holds good in turns.
