Having ridden it for almost 2 seasons now, i'd have to say, its way better than my lyrik coil. i know its not apples to apples, but its soo much smoother, set it and forget it. no stiction awesome small bump sensitivity, i never find myself wanting more travel or less travel, climbs nicely. and at almost $400 bills less than a new air lyrik, makes it an easy choice.

These come fitted with the Specialized Status 1 2012 bike, which is something I had recently purchased. They are a beutiful shaped and styled fork. They perform well for mid-range FR/DH trails, rebound is great, easy to adjust, however they are far to soft compaired to the equivalent fox, rock shox and so on. They don't seem to have the strength to push you back out of a burn like other do. However a great starting point, feel like they are made to last, simple, happy with them for the time being. Would definately suggest to any looking for beginner forks or just wanting a bike for endure/xc/fr?

Bought 2013 Model (AIR), 170mm, to upgrade my 09 Kona Coilair.
Wow, its amazing!
Plush, sensitive, easy to adjust, small bump sensitivity is superb. Light weight. Travel is internally adjustable. Have even seen them on DJ bikes, that says alot about a fork, can take a beating.
Looks great too! Got a nice deal online. Highly recommend it for Enduro/FR!

Awesome fork: Stiff, Light, Plush, internally adjustable travel from 170 down. Awesome small bump compliance, but progressive enough for those big hits too.

X Fusion Shox Vengeance RC (MSRP $699.99) — 160mm of travel Air Spring/ Sealed Cartridge

Specifications Compare to other Forks

Price $700
Weight 4.9 lbs g
Color Options Black
Spring Air
Crown Single
Rebound Rebound Adjustment
Rebound - is how quick your fork returns to a fully extended position after being compressed. Almost all after-market forks feature external rebound adjustment for easy fine tuning.
Steer Tube 1.125
Damping Air Spring/ Sealed Cartridge
Damping - The process of absorbing the energy of impacts transmitted through the forks or rear shock during the compression stroke, and absorbing the energy of the spring during the rebound stroke.
DropOut Options 15mm
Compression Low Speed Compression Adjustment
Compression - This is the damping circuit that absorbs the compression energy force on the damper. Compression damping is used to adjust how quickly a fork or rear shock compresses when hitting a bump, and is adjustable on some products. When compression damping is too soft, this condition allows most of the available travel to be used without attaining control of the wheel. When it's adjusted too firmly, the wheel will jump or "dance" about when hitting small bumps, again failing to gain control of the wheel.
