PRESS RELEASE: 686 x Evil Bicycles

 For reals

After your Evil falls over and cracks, it'll coordinate with your miss-matched, crash-replacemented frame.

@kungfupanda: They are gonna send you a cease and desist for this comment!

This would drive me insane, such a simple thing to do

some of them are "void" and some are "rolling blackout"

@giantwhip I don’t know what’s better: Evil, the all-style tryhard grifters not steaming their clothes for a shoot…or H&M as the superlative fashion example.
Precious!
For the record, all clothes on a photo shoot should be free of wrinkles, let alone big ol creases from their Bangladeshi plastic bags. The. Clothes. Get. Steamed!

Do they bleed black dye? Evil.

no gloves to show off the sick bracelet&ring combo

Hey look! An Evil on PB! *eyes boggled*
  • 3 1
Too bad it’s a 686 press release. But we’re getting closer. Actually after Kaz slammed them for their actual seat tube angles on his last “first look”, it’s never gonna happen.
  • 7 1
Evil think's they're way to core for PB. Wouldn't surprise me if all their press releases were at Fest Series events where no media were allowed, so only bro's in the know would know.

im not sure about the hood over helmet look, but ive often wanted a lightweight hoodie..

 Lifestyle brand transition intensifies.

I think all these clothes are sick! finally something for the crowd who doesnt like to be as loud as the rest of the crew. Problem I've been encountering is just too much bright accents on otherwise sensible bike clothes. Or something that makes me look like a traffic cone, but functions amazingly. Love this collab.

So is this 25 basis points better than 661?
  • 1 0
I guess that means we're totally screwed?
  • 7 0
hold up guys I forgot my bracelet
  • 5 0
 And sick skully knuckle ring.

686 is genuinely putting out some of the best mixed-use activewear out there at the moment. I have like 5 pairs of the everwhere pants, a few of the shorts, and a few of the sun hoodies and shirts. They work seamlessly from out and about, at the climbing gym, MTB, and don't look out of place at a brewery after.
  • 1 0
Thanks. You just convinced me to give them a shot. These new ones aren't available in Europe. If I don't like them on the bike it sounds like I'll still get some good use from them. Is the fabric rough/noisy when pedalling?
  • 2 0
@Lornholio: not at all. I wear their regular Everywhere pants for riding. The best tech feature is the crotch gusset for freedom of movement on the bike.
  • 1 0
I have one of the older 686xCadence riding jackets; it's one of my favorite pieces of kit.
  • 2 0
came here to rave about my 686 pants and clothing. super comfy and work for literally everything.

The comments on vital are much better
  • 8 2
 Thanks for your contribution
  • 9 0
 Vital has comments?
  • 2 0
 That'd be a first.
  • 2 0
Hilarious comments aside, has anyone tried the existing 686 pants on the bike? Looks like they took that product, changed the knees a little and added some zipped pockets. Still stretch nylon and 34" inseam for the 36 waist size. I'm tempted to try.
  • 1 0
Yeah I wear them in medium-weather conditions and they work great. Mentioned in another comment, but I literally own 5 pairs. The gusseted crotch is a big factor, plus the stretch. Definitely size up if you want less of a 'jogger' feel, but they're great on the bike (and everywhere else) at their listed size.
  • 1 0
i wear em in the winter and wet park days. also wear em daily at work. they can get a bit hot on ultra warm days but are great besides that. fabric stands up well to smaller wrecks.
  • 1 0
I bought a pair of the shorts. Shipping was fast. Half dozen rides so far. Sizing was way off but they are upfront about it. So far I like them a lot. Comfy and seem pretty durable. Zippered key pocket is great. Only minor complaint is the leg zippered pockets allow your phone to rotate horizontal and then poke out kinda awkwardly. I stitched the pocket a little smaller and now it works great. Or you could choose to put your phone elsewhere

Can’t be that bad a product , already all sold out on the evil site….
Evil are a great company doing things their own way instead of following the herd….
  • 1 0
They tell you right on their page that they run small and to use one full size up. How about just fixing the sizing to fix the issue? As in just label it the size it really is.
  • 3 0
 So, I guess they're black?
  • 2 0
@VtVolk it's true. Full disclosure - I bought the shorts because like you say, they are actually normal/functional looking.
  • 8 0
perfect clothing color as the PNW approaches the surface of the sun
  • 1 0
 @tincancharlie: Johnny Cash style
  • 2 0
686 has made some cool looking stuff, hopefully the Mtb line is a bit more durable than their snow…
  • 2 0
the normal stuff stands up to daily abuse on a construction site. i did tear a knee on a pair on the pants but i also broke a collar bone in the same wreck. they have taken pedals and smaller wrecks pretty well.
  • 3 0
 Got any blacker?
  • 2 0
 None. None more black.
  • 5 0
@AndrewFleming: looks like they have black and slightly darker black
  • 2 0
@AndrewFleming: these were sewn in Dubly
  • 1 0
@Vlad-Putin: Cheers, I was hoping someone would get it.
  • 2 0
 @AndrewFleming:
It's like how much more black could this be?

Working our way backwards on this quote.
  • 1 0
 @everythingsucks: *blackwards
  • 1 0
Pants will look good next to an orange wreckoning … they might wear out before I get one .. but its worth the wait
  • 2 1
Why are the shorts so short now? When using pads, you get the dreaded leg gapper.
  • 2 0
Gotta get that thigh tan. But me personally I love the above knee shorts for rides I don’t use knee pads on. When I wear pads, I have longer shorts or pants so I don’t offend your eyeballs with that gap.
  • 1 0
their regular shorts are Lt. dangle short..... these are probably the perfect length for everyday use.
  • 1 0
@everythingsucks: Red Bull bike lists the "gaper gap" the #1 fashion faux pau on their Unofficial dress code rules in the bike park. #1. Haha. I agree with their list 100%.

  • 1 0
These are actually quite long. I am 6‘4“ and can sport these without gaps.
  • 2 0
Perfect for those hot summer days, uh, I mean, for cool autumn weather.
  • 1 0
Those pants look decent and priced better than most MTB kit? Shrug.
  • 1 0
I've been happy with 686 gear for skiing in the past.
  • 1 0
Would it be wrong to mix the evil pants and ibis shirt?
  • 1 0
Well. At least they have something to sell. It sure isn’t bikes.
  • 1 0
Funny, I just got a new Insurgent a few weeks ago…
  • 1 0
More companies should make synthetic hoodies
  • 1 0
Rumour has it this stuff really is 25 better than 661 .
  • 1 0
Back pockets? Bold. Painful trail riding shorts.
  • 1 0
i ride in the none bike version, the flap is pretty light. zero issue.
  • 1 0
Available in any colour you want (as long as it's black.)™
  • 1 0
Are they Woodhouse, or are 5 black and 5 a slightly darker black....
  • 8 11
Oh... I thought I was the only one who rode with lame AF jewelry on. Cool. BTW- when you do a photo op, perhaps you want to remove the wrinkles from your clothes to make it look like someone can actually bike in this trash
  • 1 0
So I guess you remember to iron out your clothes before a ride?
  • 1 0
this is athletic clothing made to be flexible not a suit and tie dentist office
  • 3 0
 Who hurt you?!
  • 1 0
686 Everywhere pants are great for riding but yes: steam the clothes before the shoot. Even if it’s the day before or in the shower that morning.
  • 2 0
It's riding clothes, not H&M apparel
  • 1 0
 Always bet on black!
  • 1 0
 What color are they?
  • 1 0
 Orange, obviously.
  • 1 0
 Yeah, more Black.
  • 1 0
 But Dharco bro...
  • 1 1
Evil is got worse construction than a Walmart hyper
  • 2 2
 That’s hecka tight
  • 1 2
 Also not available.
  • 3 0
 Except, totally available.
  • 2 5
Recycled fabric from 10 plastic bottles per jersey... Have you ever smelled a discarded plastic bottle?
  • 15 1
Your shits made of the food you eat, does the food you eat smell like shit?
  • 1 0
Awkward phrasing, but the stank of synthetic fabric after a handful of rides is pretty foul. Wool tops are waaaaay nicer.
