PNW Components Releases New Loam Carbon Handlebar
Lets talk bar geo, 10 degrees back sweep feels a bit "Beach Cruiser" for my personal taste. Who's riding what out there and why? My personal preference would be 8.5 degrees, maybe my arms are shaped funny...

Review: Specialized Dissident 2 Helmet - Downhill Safety at an Enduro Weight
The breakaway visor really works, I have had a couple slaps to the head with the visor coming off and snapping right back on undamaged. The plastic used is quite pliable as well.

Review: Specialized Dissident 2 Helmet - Downhill Safety at an Enduro Weight
@misteraustin: Let me catch you there, it is a very common misconception that a helmet made to absorb the forces of a motocross or on road motorcycle accident that you will be that much more protected when doing activities that generate less force, MTB in this case. That couldn't be further from the truth, with a Bicycle crash the chances of generating enough force for the helmet to absorb the impact as designed is very, very unlikely. Therefore the danger becomes low speed impacts, see if the forces aren't high enough for the EPS Foam and Outer Shell to crack allowing the energy to be dispersed you may as well be wearing a helmet made out of concreate. For me there are 2 very important things when looking for a helmet. First and foremost is that the helmet is ASTM and CPSC certified for the sport I am participating in, the second is "Dual Density EPS" foam liner. Higher the density the higher the impact it takes for the EPS foam to do it's magic and dissipate the energy, if "Dual Density" is called out that means to me that the manufacturer is looking out for my squash during all crashes and not just the big ones that are mandatory for certification and bringing a helmet to market. See there is no Low Speed impact standard, no baseline no standardized test enforcing the safety during low speed small crashes that are way more common. If I see "Dual Density' I know a brand is going above and beyond what they need to do to bring a product to market, it adds a bit of confidence for sure.

Specialized Releases Levo SL HT - An eMTB Hardtail for Kids
@peterman1234: totally agree MTB has offered so many positive experiences without the support of "E", I just get excited when I see stuff like this because it will be more positive experiences, more people growing up with bikes in their life. More politicians, principles, cops and city council members that understand the importance of being outside on a bike. The positivity for me is it will hopefully translate into easier access nd more places for all of us to ride, eBikes or not. eBikes are for sure not "THE ANSWER" but they are pretty damn cool and if they get more people out in the wild I am down.
