Video: Lewis Buchanan Takes On the Tight and Technical Stage 3 at EWS Finale Ligure
@mollow: its an extra tough distinction to make because most of the top of the EWS field are ex dh racers too

these tracks looked more well suited to the druid, as he said in the quote he was having to reel the bike in to find flow. given how fast lewis looks on the dh tracks on the prototype im really excited to see how he does when he can let that prototype bike loose.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 24 - Why Even Buy a DH Bike?
people always bring up how much enduro bikes have improved, but downhill bikes have improved just as much if not more. is my current meta am 29 as capable as my last downhill bike? yes, maybe even more capable - i rip everything in the bikepark on it and bring it up on days I want something playful and nimble. is it as capable as my supreme 29? hell no, I cant even describe how insane this bike is. its otherworldly. I feel like im playing a videogame when I ride it, just point it off anything and it goes. I'm blessed to live somewhere where the terrain is steep and gnarly enough to warrant bringing the big rig out at all, and I highly recommend anyone with access to this type of riding to try a day on a modern dh race bike.

GoPro Launches New Hero 9 with 5K Video & 2 Screens
my gopro footage is all for me and my friends who were on the ride. when i upload the videos i have them unlisted on youtube and just share them with my buddies, and I also always film followcams. when im riding im so focused I don't really notice scenery or cool moments as much, and getting to sit back with a beer at the end of the day and re watch the ride is great. the followcam footage is great too, being able to watch yourself ride is really helpful for improvement. i learned whips after seeing a follow cam of me riding jumps for the first time and getting a good handle on what i was doing wrong. once dh racing starts up again i'll also be using my gopro footage as a way to help memorize the track after hours and look for lines. its a really useful tool for biking but you dont need 5k or two screens or whatever to accomplish all of this so I dont care much for this upgrade.

Video: Reece Wallace and Remy Metailler Rip Fast and Steep Trails at Sun Peaks Bike Park
@buildstuf: i loved the bike ranch and the local trails have really well built big jumps as well, actually wound up lapping that instead of sun peaks and staying an extra 2 days. bike ranch is an example of well built steep booters that work really well - steam shovel has a few really nice jumps on it but a few sections could really use some love

I loved a lot of sun peaks tech but not steam shovel. the jumps on steam shovel are smaller than dirt merchant (especially the pro line) but many of them are just kind of poorly built with really short steep takeoffs and the speed is very inconsistent. it would be a fun trail once you have the speed and lines figured out but its not like a whistler jump trail where you just ride the main line, stay off the brakes, and everything works perfectly. remy and reece made it look really fun and flowy though, so maybe months of lapping whistler jump trails has just made me soft

Photo Epic: The Horse Kicks Back - Crankworx Summer Series
@BlackCrowe: 620m is absolutely nothing to these guys, its a regular day at the office for me and im very (very, very) far from the fitness level this field is at. thats not to say I think longer climbs would have changed the outcome for finn, just look at the man hes an absolute beast.
