We spent one week with Micayla Gatto, learning what it takes to compete at a world cup level. She is a Vancouver based racer who's main focus is downhill. Here's a behind the scenes look of how things unfolded.
Our Downhill shoot adventure started in true Vancouver spirits, with torrential rain. The weather eventually lifted and gave us the perfect shooting conditions with tacky trail and dense fog.
After a good day of downhill we took a hiatus from mountain bikes and focused on the peripheral activities of the gym and road riding.
A few ghost rides and boat trip later we found ourselves back on 26" wheels ready for some low elevation xc loops.
Our week with Micayla was short and exciting. The very next day she hopped on a plane with bike box in tow, and a hand full of international boarding passes to round up some UCI points.
