We couldn’t be more excited to let women riders know that North America’s longest-running women’s mountain bike instructional program, the Trek Dirt Series, is heading to Angel Fire, NM, for the very first time on September 23-24, bringing their ethos of “more skills more fun” to riders of all levels, beginner through advanced.

We have been working on getting the Trek Dirt Series here for the past few seasons and are super pumped to get women from around the region to Angel Fire show them our amazing trail system just outside of the ski area, as well as one the best bike parks in the world. We’re taking reservations now for the two-day camp. Participants can choose between two days of lift-accessed downhill riding, two days of cross-country riding, or one day of each, offering opportunities for all areas of interest.

“Angel Fire feels like the Whistler of the Southwest,” says Lindsay Yost, Trek Dirt Series coach and longtime Angel Fire fan. “There are endless terrain options and the welcoming mountain bike community quickly makes it feel like a second home.”

September in Angel Fire is also one of the most beautiful times of year, offering camp participants a chance to expand their mountain biking skills in the ideal fall weather.

Trek Dirt Series camps have been running for 16 years and have inspired over 13,000 riders to develop new skills and enjoy mountain biking more than ever before. We are thrilled to bring a camp of this kind of professionalism to Angel Fire Bike Park and offer it to women in our state who are looking to progress their mountain biking skills, build their confidence and connect with other women who are passionate about the sport.

“The Trek Dirt Series isn’t just a weekend,” says camp participant Heidi Allen. “It’s a whole frame of mind, and a key to the best riding experiences one could ever imagine.”

These camps are actually the greatest. I took two a few years ago and was amazed at how much I progressed over the course of two days. I was so confident when I got back to my home trails!

Can I pretend I'm a girl and show up?
  • 3 1
Yep, in today's world u only have to self identify as a female (unicorn, magical fairy, warlock or whomever) and everyone must accept your delusions

Very true. And I would better results in the women's category.
