On The Edge Canada, the Canadian distributor for Pivot Cycles, ENVE Composites and Rotor Components, has been providing a great deal of support to grassroots-level athletes across Canada right from its foundation in 1997. Since then, the company has evolved tremendously, waving good-bye to some brands, picking up new ones, and seeing firsthand these brands evolve into what they are today. Fittingly, much of the same can be said about the athletes that they have supported throughout the years.
The Pivot Cycles – OTE cross-country team was created in 2014 with a very clear goal in mind; to provide promising up-and-comers with the support that they needed to reach their full potential as bike racers. It started as a bunch of smelly, immature, acne-ridden teenagers who looked forward to races so that they could throw fart jokes at every opportunity with their buddies, who also happened to be their team-mates. Even though most of them are currently blossoming into incredible athletes, with already a few National Champion titles under their belts, and the acne is (mostly) gone, the spirit within the team remains the same; don’t take yourselves too seriously.
At only 22 years of age, Frederique Trudel is already a four-time National Champion. As a first-year Elite, she’s aiming to battle at the front of the North-American pack this year and earn herself a spot at the World Championships. Being the only girl on the team, we can only hope that she doesn’t mind fart jokes.
Also joining the OTE family this year is Evan Guthrie. Running his own privateer program, he will be targeting a mix of Canada Cups, US Cups, Epic Ride events, select World Cups, a few BC Enduro’s and select EWS rounds aboard the Pivot LES, Mach 429sl and Firebird frames. Busy summer ahead for “Team Solo Guthrie”.
Pivot Cycles – OTE will be racing on the Pivot LES and Mach 429sl frames, ENVE components, ROTOR cranks, Maxxis tires, DT Swiss hubs and spokes, Jakroo clothes, Giro helmets and shoes, with Usinov as a financial partner.

Sérieusement, c'est le fun de voir autant de québécois(es) performer en mtn bike! Bonne chance à vous tous!
